I found the inadequate memory error strange because I don't use any heavy-duty software - just Safari, Chrome, Word, Book Reader, Audition, Utorrent, Word, Stickies, Evernote, Google Keep - and I have 8 Gb Ram.


(Have pasted relevant part of that report at the end of this question). I tried diagnosing using Etrecheck earlier and found the error that several processes were killed because of inadequate memory. At other times, it hangs for a few moments and then re-starts itself. Sometimes it keeps hanging till I press the power button to re-start it. For the last month or so, my Macbook Air has been hanging, almost daily, sometimes 2-3 times a day.
